That isn't my biggest complaint about the 6 up 6 count anyway ... but they will have to go with skills that the gymnasts are very consistant with if they want a chance at Nationals ... for example (of course) Mandi would have still been doing her arabian dbl-front since she was consistant with it (was her one fall on that?) ... etc. ... at leas with this whacky system they have a chance to experimnent with skills during the season to find what is cnsistant in meets, since they can drop one scoe until Regionals. Vault is an example of where if they didn't have 6 consistant 10 vaults, tey wouldn't risk going for 6 with 6 counting.
There was a good post on the college board about mistakes in sports like football (fumbles, etc.) that can be recoved from ... but with this in gymnastics ... your only hope is for a fall by the other team ... will make for interesting crowd (and team?) dymanics!?
