Welcome to the
Posted by Richard The Nationals is being held in a small college gym ... though ir looks like a full crowd of 1800+(?). Recruitable Sydney Sawa (16) scored 13.65 (dbl layout dismount). Lemieux from Quebec is 19 years old (qualified to all four event finals) ... scored a 13.650 ... dbl front dismount. All but the three mentioned above were 15 yr-olds ... the last one Pegg placed third with a 13.500. They make each gymnast stand in front of the camera while they wait for the score! They didn't show any graphice wit the event placings until after the event was over ... only individual scores and where that placed them in the ranking. Now beam, ... and vault for the men. G. May (?yr-old ... looking towards a US college scholarship ... 2012 I think ... Video interview: CTV Sport Star: Gabrielle May) ... fall on round-off back-tuck mount ... dbl-back-tuck dismount ... 12.85. Sawa fell on one of her more difficult leaps ... dbl-turn, dbl back dismount ... C. Mackie (15 yr-old, now coached by Kate Richardson's and LA's coach ... David Kenwright) ... one-arm Onodi ... double-pike(?) dismount ... 13.85 ... Meyer won with a 14.55. The live coverage went ~10 minutes over-time ... they got the final scores in before going to the MLS soccer.

They've shown the men's floor ... about 5-6 of the 8 competitors ... now alternating between Uneven Bars and Rings ... first two girls up on bars were 15 yr olds ... learned than a fall (as the 2nd did on her dismount) is now a full point 1.000!
... all three so far have been dbl pike dismounts (last was recruitable Quinton - 12.300, 1st so far, from Calgary) they mentioned recruiters were at Nationals from Utah, Michigan, Oklahoma, etc. ... don't know if John went as Tanya and Michael are in Australia.
Go Beavs!!,
Richard
