There has been some pretty funny stuff 
over on the college gym board ... along with a lot of annoying stuff ... 
I thought the idea (from "balabanovv") of having audience members pick the next gymnast up on an event out of a hat was funny ... so kind of the luck of the draw ... add a little randomness to results as it will be to some extent in counting 6 scores.
Suzanne Youclan ("JERSEYPAIGE") had an interesting comment about counting six ... (though she seems to be in favor or 5-up/5-count and the 4 team Nationals) ... pointed out that if you are counting 6, you no longer can thinK about a 9.8 average on an event is a 49 and a 196 team total (though she used the 9.9, 49.5, 198 example!
) ... much harder to do the math in your head when counting 6 scores! she thinks counting 6 hurts the parity for the mid-level teams ... but that 5-up/5-count would help the mid-level teams ... maybe so, but I don't like that either ... partly because of less opportunity with only 5 competing on each event.
