"... Canadian Leslie Mak earned Freshman Newcomer of the Year honors after having a banner season in gymnastics. Mak was the co-winner in the uneven bars at the Pac-10 Championships and earned first team all-conference honors. She was named the league's recipient of the Pac-10 Special Performance of the Week three times. Mak also received a Benny for her conference title as did her teammate Jen Kesler. ..."
Also, the three AAs were honored.
The Scholar Athletes of the Year were choosen which includes the most unusual seclection ... Claire Pierce?! D'Anna Piro and Johnnie Rae Schmelzer were the other gymnasts choosen among the 17 athletes.
The Bennys Awards ...
