Major Changes for Women's NCAAs?
I have a hard time believing that only ONE coach/school (Faehn/Florida) voted against the 4 team final proposal!!??
How could they get 50+ people to all vote the same way on such a major change? The arguments that she puts forth in this article must have swayed at least one other person/school to vote against it??
I can't quite imagine myself traveling to a Nationals using this format ... on top of moving it to a neutral site (non-gymnastics school/city) ... but of course it will be on LIVE TV right?!
In all the other arguments I've read against the 6-up 6-count ... one I think will be true is that it will then be all about not falling, and how many falls you had vs the other team, etc. ... great!
It also seems strange (but probably just a coincidence) that two of the 7 member NCAA committee are head coaches on the way out (or should be on the way out?) ...
