I'm glad I didn't have to wait long for this news to come out! Beavers Add International Elite Australian for 2010 Melanie was the traveling alternate on the Beijing Olympic team. What she has been vaulting are a Tsuk 1-1/2 and a (huge?) handspring piked-front 1/2! THIS IS GREAT NEWS: "Jones, who has already been certified as an academic qualifier by the NCAA Eligibility Center ..." As I read this now (it may change) ... it says "... The Beavers conclude the 2009 season next week at the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships, April 16-18, hosted by the University of Nebraska. ..." so this was probably originally going to come out just after signing day on April 8th!
