I contacted the Nebraska Athletic Department about parking for the gymnastics at Devaney Center ... I was told that there is sufficient surface parking in the lots surrounding Devaney within 1 to 2 blocks of the door ... so that should not be a problem.
BUT, I just realized that for the Saturday morning brunch (10am) is just before the 1pm Nebraska Spring Football game! This is not like an OSU spring game ... they will have upwards of 70,000 people at the game! The stadium is not far from downtown so most of the parking downtown will fill with Football fans!
I just reserved a space in a downtown parking garage for Saturday! It was "only" $6 (prepaid).
(There may be other alternatives to get to the brunch, or to park, but I didn't want to take any chances!)
Here is the link to reserve (and pay for) a parking spot ... 2009 Red & White Game (Click on "View" next to "2009 Red & White game" ... then you can click on the "Downtown Parking Facilities Map" to see these garages ... and the Embassy Suites in between these two ("G" on the map between "P" and "Q" streets, and between 10th & 11th streets).
I choose the Market Place Garage in the block adjacent to the Embassy Suites ... the garage on the opposite side (adjacent block) of the Embassy Suites is the Que Place Garage.
