You beat me to it Richard, I was just going to post who is sitting pretty at #1 on Balance Beam.... Last time OSU had a #1 ranking gymnast on any event was Corey Young back in 2000 but that was the first week of the year... At the end of the season... I would be taking a big guess to say possibly Heather Bennett in 1995 or 1996 on uneven bars???
I'm pretty sure in 1992 Chari was ranked #1 on bars, beam, floor and all-around going into Nationals!! Again.. just pretty sure....
Way to Go Beavs!! I know we were all hoping to come home Pac-10 Champions and it was just those small landings, out of bounds, missed handstand and checks here and there that cost them... going 23 for 24 was awesome though... Every bar routine after that first fall was so tense to watch!!
THREE Pac-10 Champions!! Awesome for Tasha and Jami to bring back those accolades. Well deserved... so impressed that Tasha's 9.9 kept up on vault through every rotation!! I was keeping a record since rotation one and was watching those scores on those three events very closely...
Mandi I thought was phenomonal.. She could have had a better vault, but boy she just nailed her double front dismount on bars and her floor just spectacular! She should have been on the awards podium on floor! They are going to love her at Nationals!!
Looking forward to Regionals!
