Posted by Jerry Hutchins Even though I am a newbie to your organization, I have confidence that anyone filling this position will do a commendable job as George has done Might I suggest that George be considered to create and mentor a position dedicated to finding more cadets? It seems that in my conversations and pep talks with George, he has mentioned the fact that Jeff Ripberger was the "BULLDOG" of the search team. Because of his respect and Love for Jeff and the OMIHA, I recommend that the "Rip’s Bulldogs" be created for him to use his time in tracking down more cadets. ...Although we can credit Phyllis Hutchins for my endearing charm (snicker), I feel that I must use her secret weapon, the “STARE of GUILT” to urge you to consider this proposal. I have been listening very close and have followed in George's footsteps by sending an E-Mail to the Public Relations person at MMI in support of George's request to the school to open their doors to help in finding those that attended MMI after OMI closed. George is so wrapped up in OMIHA that for him to sit back and just be an Alumni seems a waste of human energy. I know his physical move was a determining factor in his decision to step aside, but I think he has come to believe that everyone's involvement is critical. He has chosen the path to open his heart and the OMIHA to all whose lives have been touched by OMI and get them involved ...I know I would have stopped with just the POSTING on your site if it wasn't for George urging me to let my emotions go and follow my heart. Therefore I urge the OMIHA to tell George that he is not through by any stretch of the imagination. ....I offer this suggestion to you gentlemen out of my admiration for George and his bond with all of you and Jeff Ripberger. ...Anyone that finds and alumni can be considered a "Bulldog" and when he does so he honors the memory of Jeff Ripberger. George has NEVER given up and I don't think this is the time for that. I am purchasing some tracking software and will be sending any information I find to George, as I have done so far. Please use this as a suggestion, run with it and put your heads together to improve on it. When you think about, it not having George around in some capacity is “Unthinkable”. I know that he has always been around “to help” and “in the thoughts” of many people. I offer this to you on behalf of George H. Strayer, who continues to be an Officer, Gentleman, Mentor and my “Family” Deepest regards to the OMIHA,

I understand that today is George Strayer's last meeting as the Secretary of the OMIHA. On this point alone "KUDOS" to George on the fine job he has done so far.
.
...But I wonder what George can do to fill his time. Well it seems that he is doing what he was trained to do as well as being a "Babysitter" to the "Brat" again.
...he is providing support to his organization (family) and mentoring Associates in the continuation of the OMIHA dream and purpose.
Obviously he can do this from his new location and computer and I am volunteering to be his first "Puppy". We have already established a line of communication proving that I am still the "Brat" and can bug him to no ends...hahahaha
The coordination of this position can be done from his home and through the use of computers and the phone. I believe George will have the time of his life traveling both in his free time and on the "Internet" doing what he does best, talking with people and getting them involved.
