Thanks for the note. Yes, my father would probably have been band director then...can't say for sure because I wasn't born until 1938...but I know my parents were living at the school and my father was on faculty when my older sister was born in 1935. In addition to visiting my grandparents and, of course, Thanksgiving dinner in the dining hall, my best memories are of the Sunday dress parades and wishing I had a drum major's hat!
