Posted by Harry Henshaw In 1947 we moved to Ann Arbor Michigan where my parents had met at the Univ. of Michigan. My father passed away at age 94 in February, 2004, and my mother died in July 2006. I just wanted to thank those that initiated and maintain the web site.

Just wnated to let you all know that I "stumbled" on to the OMI web site and enjoyed it. Brought back many memories. My Grandfather, Albert M. Henshaw, was head of the school until his death. My father, Hugh Henshaw, was on faculty teaching various subjects and directed the band from some time in the mid-1930's until 1947. Although I did not attend OMI, I have fond memories from my childhood of the Sunday Dress Parades, watching the band march in Memorial Day parades, and Thanksgiving Dinner in the dining hall...I recall the cook's name was Laura.
