Posted by Judy on January 10, 2007, 6:38 pm, in reply to "possible signs for CP?" Welcome to the board.. and don't worry you aren't bothering us at all... and hope that some of us will be able to help you... I would follow up with your doctor or paed and just keep an eye out for signs, like tightness, not reacting milestone.... You also have to remember that your son also has a corrected age aswell due to being born prem... so because he is 4.5mths old doesn't mean he is doing things at 4.5mth old, when actually corrected age he is probably just being born or 1 mth old and that is what you really have to go by for developmental achievements... I would just keep a close eye on him and see how he does... Laney had an MRI which told use that she has Severve Quad Mixed tone cerebral palsy, due to severe lack of oxygen prior to being born. Also, you can get ahold of community living, they have infant (then preschooler) developmental workers that come out and assess your little one and then if they feel you need help, they will come on a weekly to bi-weekly visit and help you with things like reacting developmental milstone, working on mine and gross motor. They can't diagnoses your child but they are wonderful support for development. I don't know if I have been any help but best of luck to your family and son!!!!
