Posted by John Bergman What I essentially did was gave up on all those employment agencies, service clubs that assisted people with disabilities help find work - gone, gone gone. They have so many people they have to help, they could not focus on me. The only person who can dedicate there whole world to me is me. So, I thought long and hard want I wanted to do. I wanted to work at a summer camp. About fifteen years ago, I began volunteering for a YMCA summer camp. Over the first few years, I spent my time volunteering. I spent hours upon hours playing with my computer figuring out how differnt programs work so I could do more for the camp. After a couple of years, they broke down, and gave me a job.

I have cerebral palsy and I always had a very difficult time finding work, so difficult that I gave up and started all over again.
Your son has to figure out what he wants to do for work, then he could go on the computer and search for volunteer opportunities in his area. Try to match his skills, with what he wants to do and the possibilty to advance in that organization.
