How to find

I have a brother out there somewhere.I just found out my mother gave him up at birth but did go see him when he was 6 or 7..the goverment took him off crown ward, so I would like to know where or what hospital has him..how do i find that out.He has cerebral palsy so I would like to know what they did in the fifities to these children that didnt have homes...someone out there must know.
