I wish the general public wasn't so ignorant !! today while out at the mall I was pushing my 14 year old daughter in her wheel chair around trying to go through the heavy mass of people strolling about and getting in her way !!!! its as if they expected us to move around them !! and what is it with them just STOPPING in the middle of the aisle to browse !! like they can't get out of the way ! I almost tripped a few of them over when they did this and the have the nerve to look at her like its her fault !! by the time we got out of there I was ready to have road rage !! I kept apologizing to Ali telling her "uh ! sorry ! you almost had that person on your lap !!" all she wanted to do was go buy some cd's for heavens sake and she almost ended up with a few people and their bags on her lap ! I feel like why should we stay home and wait till closing for her to have her chance in the mall !! its insane ! oh,, but get this.. she did manage to get some respect from a bunch of rockers who literally moved a dvd rack for her to get around, that made her day and I felt compelled to give them $20 to show my gratitude. BUT I DIDN'T ! she attributes their show of respect to the Pink streaks in her hair and her camoflauge army pants and doc marten boots.. she said "see.. i'm one of them".. I was ready to have a heart attack. asides from saying "excuse me" or "coming through look out" is there possibly another way of getting my point across to these people to get them to move ! I told her i was going to try to rig up a horn on her wheelchair or some sort of snow plow. maybe i should consider a flashing rotating light and a siren ! heh.. surely they'd move for that !!!
