Face it..Dwayne was horribly out of character during that death scene. He was a leader, and he wasn't stupid to get into that kind of deal. As much as loathe the "batman" comparison to NT, he was like Bats in that he was a great planner, strategist, and mind.
But I don't think we'll see Dwayne as a skrull there. I really havnt seen Joe Q give much creedence to this book in terms of allowing it to work with the marvel "big picture". So I don't think Joe Q would allow Civil War's impetus to be lessoned by retconning those stamford deaths.
Dwayne will be gone for awhile I'm afraid. Although the lack of a body seems to suggest Marvel hasnt made up there mind.
We can only hope, but i doubt it.
