Cover was a little poser boring. Only to be repeated on PrevPage.
The robotic test villains were OBVIOUSLY wimpified but neat visual threats nontheless. Please tell me that Jubes is trippin' and Marvel does NOT conisder this team CLOSE to as battle competant as them.
Renascence: the revival of learning and culture. Nice ring to the name. Not sure how Sofia relates to it. Maybe the significance is the use of less battlewise handheld guns. Seems better for a Liberacesque villain though.
Glad when the 2tone session was over coloring returned to normal. In hindsight a good Danger Room indicator and at this point the color returns to compliment the well done art styling. Blackwing and Decibel are unfotunately only 2 most readily recognizable.
Sofia still wanting to stay a waitress and Jubes obsessing so much on Thrash is healthy characterization. Still the only 2 feeling invested in.
"Gonna go Omega Gang on me now?"
Unclear standard for Jono's power as he easily breaks up the Grimm/Torch-like family infight.
Is that a new Thrash costume?
Diablo interlude! And unknown uniform with the binocs. He has a messy past, hope his new scheme doesnt mess him up more. At least there's indication of a A-list villain that might finally show up.
Seismic. Now that's a even better name. Lame situation though. Getting really tired of the growing number of superhumans to replace the intentionally decimated mutants who were too unmanagable by Marvel logistics department.
Waiting on the Initiative is getting a pet peeve too. The Initiative are in training - they should always call in their specific (slowpoke) FSI Team (FiftyStateInitiative Team). That might be the implication intended but its doubtful. And using the 2 detectives is good but please say names more often (forget them ATM - worse for new readers).
Guessing Bandit to be Thrash was a very logical/appreciated inclusion. And Thrash's member choice system reflects some good guesses read at the comicboards here.
Oh c'mon! Transmap Tech?! Calling 'em metas, hypers and trans?! What no ultras? No mutant threats? Predicting crimes? Can see ROM having such tech but not this ragtag fugitive team. Hopefully 1000% fabricated. Kaz is good'll give him that - or maybe the team a really gullible. AT LEAST Jubes calls Thrash out on this.
Getting to know more about the crew trio: Aja, Grace and Kaz in 3 pages seemed fair pacing. No interest in Aja though. Grace's personality origin was touching.
The 2 diner pages mightve worked as well in 1. Ruthie shouldve had different bangs/haircolor than Kat for clarity sake. Kudos to Kat for finding Sofia when SHIELD and cops have found bupkiss on the Warriors and their (cloaked?) hightech signatures.
Liked the issue despite the some of the negative reactions.
Wondra (jubilee)
NightThrasher (bandit)
Phaser (radian)
Tempest (angel salvatore)
Skybolt (redneck)
Blackwing (beak)
Decibel (chamber)
Ripcord (stacy X)
Sofia (renascence)
