: Is it just me, or does he seem like an
: entirely different character now than he did
: as Bandit? I don't just mean changes in
: attitude--that can be logically assumed as
: character growth, in dealing with Dwayne's
: death and carrying on his legacy, etc.
: I admit that I'm not the biggest Bandit
: expert in the world, so maybe I missed
: something--but it seems to me like a lot of
: his backstory and personality has been
: re-written in this series.
: In some issues he has talked about things
: their father taught him and Dwayne. As I
: recall, Bandit was the result of a one-night
: stand and never even MET his father. He
: talks about the brotherly bond between
: himself and Dwayne...but from what I recall,
: the two of them were never close, and at
: best were grudging allies. Etc, etc.
: His talk with Silhouette about their
: relationship also seemed full of revisionist
: history--Bandit accuses her of being too
: changeable in her emotions and betraying
: Dwayne...but it was always Dwayne's
: emotional baggage that kept him and Sil
: apart. First it was Dwayne's guilt over
: getting Sil shot, later it was his anger
: over learning she was still connected to her
: brother's old gang, etc. Bandit/Grevioux
: make it sound like Sil was unfaithful, but
: Sil and Dwayne were actually broken up at
: the time she and Bandit got together, and it
: was a more complicated situation than that.
: (personally, I was always a little disturbed
: at Sil falling in love with the man who
: kidnapped and assaulted her...but
: "cheating" on Dwayne? Yeah,
: It just feels to me like Grevioux is
: re-writting Bandit's history and personality
: to make him more like Dwayne, because Dwayne
: is the character he really wants to be
: writing. Any thoughts?
