Not a suspect. A contender. A possible choice. And yes, an unpredictable and unprecedented bad-ass pick.
Bringing back a nostalgic yet obscure character like Ace as the new Night Thrasher would give a different twist to the whole identity thing as well as it introducing a new propitious evolution for the character imo. I think its more interesting than having suspects like Bandit, Midnight's Fire, Silhouette, or Tom Foster. Although mentions of Rick Jones, Josiah X, Kasper Cole, Prodigy, Tony Stark, Cap, and even Dwayne himself are notable.(except for maybe Stark and Cap that is)
