For flimsy storytelling purposes?
Wolverine hunted Nitro down. SHIELD got in the way somewhat, and a number of agents got killed. Then some Atlantean sleeper agents got involved, and took Nitro back to Atlantis. Wolverine attacked Atlantis to try and get retribution against Nitro, but realized Namor had more right to it, and nothing Wolverine would do is as bad as what Namor would do for Nitro killing Nita. Wolverine stopped Nitro from escaping and turned him back over to Namor. As of #1 of the current Namor miniseries, Nitro is still in Atlantean custody.
I personally thought Nova should've kicked the crap out of Nitro for killing the Warriors.
