Kevin G said that Joe Q said "absolutly NO Blank Blank" in this new series..
Many people have speculated that this was "Absolutly NO NIGHT THRASHER" due to the fact that Kevin G had a letter published in the book.
I do recall Joe Q stating the usual stuff about Night Thrasher, that he was a Batman copy with little redeeming traits etc..I'll have to hunt for those quotes.
As for Night Thrasher many people just have him mis-understood. Marvel could have come up with a lot of ways to differentiate him.
I always thought they should expand on his ability to design armor, not only did he design numerous suits for himslef, but he did some of Nova's suits as well. To me this was a cool way to make Dwayne more of "young Tony Stark".
Night Thrasher's leadership skills were horribly written in the end . Here is a guy who had organized the New Warriors. He was a good leader and was working on his skills. To have speedball leading the team in the end was just stupid.
Their are a TON of good characters out there who are "rip offs". It is all in writing, and characterization to make them identifiable. Many people DID identify with Dwayne. Especially during the glory days.
