Not having read any of the minis and having stopped buying New Warriors before it was originally cancelled, I kinda assumed Slapstick and Ultra Girl had appeared as members in some issue I hadn't bought. From your post I'm guessing that isn't the case and I have to admit I like that idea. Usually when a team or character is in limbo they either return in a big reimagining or simply exactly as they were in their last appearance. That the NW had adventures even when they weren't on panel and added members we never saw in action implies a life going on even if we didn't see it. This isn't done enough.
