Sarah--let me know if you find out anything. I am 45 yrs. old, never had asthma, but now, I have been coughing for the last 7.5 years. I burp up mucus, cough up mucus, can hardly breathe because of it, yet my lungs are clear. They keep treating for asthma--which the lung function tests say i have, yet the medications do nothing. Some days I cough so much I get headaches, I have torn muscles in my rib area, I drive my family and co-workers nuts. Nothing relieves the cough...i mean nothing. I am about at my wits end. Mary
