My 10 year old son has suffered from excessive mucus in his thraot for several months now. He has a clear chest, and does notwheeze nor find exercise a problem at all. his problem is that he is constantly bubbling in his throat and frequently has to cough up mucus. His peak flow tests showed 220 and should read about 295. He has been prescribed steriod inhalers and finally a 5 day course of steroid tablets to improve his condtion, to no avail at all. The GP now wants to refer him to our local hospital for test, and when I mentioned allergy tests, said that if it were an allergy the drugs would have had some result. Does anyone have any idea if this is correct or not? i am considering visiting our local homoepathic clinc, for tests and hopefully some help.
