renal failure Posted by krystalr on January 4, 2008, 10:02 pm 12.10.29.64 Did anyone elses child have renal failure with nephrotic syndrome? And did anyone elses child not really respond to the lasix and albumin infusions? we were in the hospital for 12 days and most days on those infusions every 4-6 hours and he gained weight more than he lost, finally now about 24 days after we started steriods he is SLOWLY starting to lose some weight. Were at the doctor today though and they said there was barely any protein in his urine which I don't know what they consider barely any as they called and left that message with my husband. Does any one know what the albumin level is suppose to be they also said that was at a 2.1 instead of one. We got out 32,812 dollar 11 day stay hospital bill today that doesn't count the 2 ambulance rides or the life flight or the other hospital bill, fun fun wow that doesn't help with this time of fighting to stay strong for my son  Post a Response
