Posted by Wendy on 2/10/2006, 5:41 pm, in reply to "homeopathic medicine" My son was diagnosed with FSGS when he was 2 1/2. He is now 15 and doing beautifully. We started seeing a naturopath who practices classical homeopathy when my son was about 5 yrs old. When we first started with the naturopath my son was on a combination of 13 different meds. After working with the naturopath for approx 2 yrs he was off all meds and in a med free remission for 3 years. Then puberty struck and he started relapsing again. We still see the naturopath and my son is currently on cellcept and 5mg of prednisone alternate days. The naturopath used many different homeopathic remedies on our son along with other alternative meds. There's no way to state what homeopathic meds will help your child because homeopathy deals with individuals so what worked for my son may not work for yours and what works for yours might not work for mine. I would suggest finding a licensed naturopath who practices classical homeopathy. Here in Canada, all naturopaths must be licensed. I would not suggest just seeing a homeopath because that is all they practise. A naturopath does all sorts of things. We have successfully combined traditional meds with alternatives and so far my son is doing great. We were told when he was dignosed to expect a transplant within 8 yrs of diagnosis. It has been 13 yrs and all is well and good. Wendy |
