any information to keep my son protien free would be wonderful. I heard of a honey and garlic remedy that I think I'm going to try, but knock on wood haven't had to yet. What kind of anti rejection med was he on? My son was on cyclosporine a year and a half ago and just stopped a 12 week course of cytoxin last week. So far fingers crossed he's been ok. Please feel free to email me.

: Hi, I have never done this before, and am not
: sure....
: Last year about this time we discovered that
: my son had Nephrotic syndrome, and at the
: time felt like the worst parent. Noticed my
: son "gaining wieght" and
: attributed it to diet, lack of exersise,
: etc. At 13 he never wore shorts, so I did
: not notice his legs until one day he showed
: me his feet and could not even see his toes.
: Off to the Dr and immediate referal to
: Children's Hospital....his weight gain was
: water retention, 25lbs of it. To make a
: long story short it was a misserable 9
: monthes and eventually anti-rejection
: medication, which he can not stand. I have
: been doing alot of research on nutrition and
: the immune system and was wondering what
: others have found. There seems to be a
: strong coorilation in childhood deseases and
: poor diet. Have others found the same. I
: would like to share more of what I have
: found if people are interested. As of now
: we are in remission and have been since
: June. YEA!!!
