Warning: Some names have been changed to protect the innocent ( mostly Jack and I am innocent) Today Jack, Brianna, Harriet and Barwina joined me for a day of diving. The seas were flat calm and the forecast for the day looked great. We headed East to some of the local wrecks and soon had a hook into our first site of the day. It was Jack's favorite 2 hole wreck and it lived up to its name today more than ever. Over the winter the site had sanded in quite a bit, similar to another site (in the area)we had visited earlier just a few weeks ago. Anyway I think we got all the legal lobster off this one and Barwina managed to bring up a nice deadeye with the metal strap intact. 80 ft and 48 F. Vis about 25 to 30ft Next stop was another wood wreck a few miles inshore in about 70 ft of water. This one was similar to the first but had not sanded in as much. Vis , temp , etc were about the same and a bunch of bugs came up. Lasty we stopped on the Gulf Trade bow and still had good vis and few more lobster. There were lots of sea bass around but out of season. Hopefully this is a good sign. We did not see any fluke and one striped bass was spotted. total for the day- 1 deadeye a cooler full of lobster a great day on the water. On the way into Barnegat Inlet I got a call on the radio from my dive buddy Harry who was bringing up a buddies boat from the Delaware to Shark River for the summer. If I can figure out how to post a picture I will.
i hear he finds lobsters, but is AFRAID of them and looks for another Obviously Real Diver to catch the little guy for him???? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL - No one should be calling themselves a New Jersey Wrewck Diver who is Afraid of lobsters - Give me a break - complex hand signals, lights being flashed - underwater emergancy to find a cricket backed into a corner - I cant believe it, what a wimp, please..............
Maybe a REAL JERSEY WRECK DIVER would find his own artifacts instead of swimming over them (like someone did when that really GREAT diver named Harry found his BELL on the DELAWARE) or having someone tell you where artifacts (like a deadeye) are...LOLOLOLOL
