Well, I know its been awhile so I'll try to cram as much as I possibly can into this report. My recent health hiccup seems to be resolving quite nicely and I should be back to my normal crazy diving habits by Spring. I have been doing a little fishing of late to wile away my diving jones. I have been lucky to be able to hook up with a local research boat the RV OSCAR and they have let me tag along for some fun while they study non-migratory sea birds. Konger was able to join us as well and he continues to help motivate me to get back to spearfishing as can be evidenced by the following pics. What a great day Monday was on Lake Atlantic. Seas one foot or less and air temps in the 60's made for a great day of fishing and diving. Bottom temp was 50* or very close to that. Viz on the first one was not too bad at maybe a milky 15 ft with a pretty good surge and the next 2 dives would deteriate with the surge. No fish for the rod and reel guys (me) but that might have something to do with the tie in on the edge of the wreck............thanks pal! But a very good day for the spear fisherman. Konger has finally found the mate from his 19 pound male Tog from last year and found a 16.9 pound female still hunting for her mate that Konger tried to sell as a 19 pounder last year. Anyway. great day on the water and great fun had with our bird observations.......what regal creatures, these Sea Gulls are!.......They're really not rats with wings that just crap all over everybodies boats after all!

I'll have some video of the bird observations up shortly after some minor editing. But a very worthy cause non the less, I'll try to post the web site in case anyone wants to donate to this great cause.
