We finally got out again today, with Stan, Bart, Konger,Jim and myself. We had some numbers to check out The first one was a big zero so we headed a little further out. Next set of numbers we could see some decent relief on the bottom so we tried to hook it but it keep pulling. We ended up dropping the hook with a bouy on the end and then threw Bart in to tie us in. Well he soon had the line tied in and we headed back and tied the boat up. As Stan, Konger and Jim were getting suited up the hook pulled. We waited about 25 minuted till Bart came up on his lift bag (still tied to the bottom) and picked him up. We then went back to the lift bag and dropped the others in and just stood off the wreck for a bit. Stan was first up and confirmed the nice conditions on the bottom. Next we picked up Jim and as he climbed the ladder we could see that he got some huge tog. We were just about to weight them when Konger came up so we headed right back and as he climbed the ladder we saw that he had the granddaddy of tog in his bag. I think Jims was about 12 or 13 lbs and Kongers was about 19lbs when we weighted it on the boat scale= NICE. Vis about 20 or better and bottom temp about 47f. We figured we would head inshore a bit to get into some calmer water as it was getting a bit choppy out there. The second wreck was in 65 ft and the vis was just a little less with the same bottom temp. Once again some nice big tog up to about 13lbs came up. At this point we could no longer close the top of the cooler so we headed in. Nice day on the water on the Lady Godiver.
Where is the shot of me holding that fish?!!! lololol And you left out the part that it was I, the bartman, who found that fish and told them where to go lololol
Hey Howard what was the name of that guy that was suppose to go out with us today? Man did he miss out on some real trophy fish...
