We got out today and hit several wrecks in the nw barges area. Although the first two wrecks we hit were only about 1/2 mile apart the first was a dark 15 ft of vis and the second was about 25 ft and had good light to the bottom (65 foot depth). Bottom temps were about 63. Several lobster came up as well as some huge spade fish. Next wreck was the Brick Barge where several more lobster came up but although there were lots of fish none were taken. Lastly we tried the brass wreck inshore but the vis here was less than 1 foot. Nice conditions in general today. Thanks Harley for supplying the snacks again today (excellent grapes). They were great but when do we get fresh shrimp cocktail again? Capt Howard Lady Godiver

Hey did you hear that nut on the Maryann 3( I think its a charter boat)? He was saying something about a dive boat in the North west barges area and thats where we were but I did not see any boats near us. It sounded like he was going off about a Parker in the area. He said something about getting rubber stuck in his props. I think he was talking about running over divers. When I heard him say something about the Destiny ( the local lobster boat out of Barnegat) I called the Destiny to see what was up and thats when you heard me. The coast guard got on the radio and spoke to the capt of the Mary ann but I am not sure it did much good. That guy is a nut case but it was kind of funny to listen to. I cant believe the coast guard did not come out there with all the threats coming from the mary ann on the radio. I saw the Destiny later by the Brick Barge but did not get any more info on what happened. I thought maybe the guy on the mary ann was high on something or having a medical problem but I latter found out he is just an old grumpy guy. Kind of dangerous to let him have control of a boat though. Just another entertaining entertaining day on the water! hey if anyone knows the full story fill us in .

i knew something was up when i heard you - its a shame, most of the Captains of any type of boat are willing to work with the divers - let me guess he was upset because the divers took his fish, or were there first, or he is just mad that all the seabass had to go back - can you imagine paying for a day of fishing and hearing that - Not like me of course, i only get grumpy when i have my sword taken out of my yard by a pack of nocturnal thieves - hey we shared the algol with the Karen? out of brooklyn i think today - The mate was on the bow as they passed us and he struck such a pose that he had me rollinglololol - i only wish i thought of it myself !!!!!! like something out of harry potterlololol later bm-mi
