- Vis out of Barnegat or Atlantic City
Posted by Kim Dixon on 9/14/2009, 8:12 am 68.38.41.108
I was wondering if anyone got out yesterday or today near Barnegat or Atlantic City inlets and what the vis was like? I am thinking of going out tomorrow and was hoping for some decent vis. The water looked beautiful up on the beach yesterday and I didn't know if it was that nice down on the bottom. Any info. would help!! Kim

We had at least 40' of vis on the Almirante today. 71 *on the bottom and the boat was easily visible from the wreck.Tropical fish were all over and we saw 2 whales on the way. Pretty awsome day!

I understand the vis was very poor on the gloria yesterday, of course it's shallow with little relief making it one of my favs down that next of the woods. Capt Bill

Skip- I am heading out on my own boat tomorrow. The weather is too good not to go diving. Still not sure what wreck we are going to. Either Gloria or Boiler. Thanks Capt. Bill- I like the Gloria too but I don't get good vis on it often. Were you out there yesterday???

A little bit to long of a run out of brielle. AT least for now the Glorias not on my dive plan. Although I've had mostly good vis on it. Capt. Bill
