Can someone tell me what the slack tide really is at the inlet. I have checked many tide charts with the MSCG station listed, but it never seems to be correct. I know there are plus and minus on some charts and I have done that too. I have started to dive the inlet during the week when I am off, its awesome, been beautifully clear most of this week, but the time eludes me!!
Yesterday I did an out and around in some heavy surf as I turned the corner of the jetty, so one day I would like to actually get the slack.

The tides there can be + or - an hour. Due to winds and the moon. Best thing to do is be an hour early and drop a small clam shell in the water and watch as it drops to bottom.
I have been diving that inlet for over 30 years and that works me.
