I just wanted to share an observation with you all that I am sure most of you are aware of,I went to a couple of marinas this weekend to do some work and I was talking to a few people, owners, boaters and yard crews,it seems that the marinas have more boats staying in storage than ever before, the slips are full because people leased them LAST year, boaters are not going out due to fuel costs and they aren't even going to the marinas to hang out on the boat because of the cost of driving to the boat!Take a look out on the water on the weekend and it looks like fall stripper season, only a few boats!,where I live you could almost walk from jersey to Staten Island on the decks this tme of year, charter boats staying in port, more boats for sale in marinas than EVER before,I wonder what will happen next,we make our living on the water and it will work out well for guys like me who service boats due to lack of use but I am really concerned for anyone in the commercial end!Is there NOTHING we can do?
