I didn't vote because the way I and all the drysuit divers I'm associated with dive without wings, using the suit for buoyancy control. Right or wrong it's the way it's done. We use old style backpack or UDT style harness. Most of us are old school and just set in our ways. The issues you mentioned above are not an issue, never have been, in fact I had to think what you were even talking about. Are you talking about theoretical on what could happen or what actually does happen in the field? Personally I use and prefer the old 7mm neoprene Poseidon suits. Others the DUI crushed neoprene and still others the trilam suits. I've been doing this for 30 years and worked on dive boats for close to 20. I've seen a lot and while there were some buoyancy issues with NEW drysuit divers I never heard anyone complain about all the issues you just mentioned. In fact I've heard more issues about wetsuit divers buoyancy.
I'm not saying that my way is right, in fact by today's standards it isn't, there is no redundancy, except drop the weight belt. My point is that you just made a bigger issue out of something that really isn't. Now one thing I must stress, NEW DRYSUIT DIVERS must become familiar and profecent with their new equipment!!
