Weather was iffy and it was really cold outside. Decided to hit something close. Dove a large steel wreck about 35mi out in the 150'fsw range. Surface conditions were pretty rough. Visibility was about 30ft at120fsw to about 130fsw. At 130fsw to 140fsw vis was about 10ft. From 140fsw to 150fsw vis was not so good. One seasoned diver that was following me described it as a complete "silt out". Water temp was 54 top to bottom. Lots of undersized Sea Bass were observed. I had to pull the Hook. Decompression was cold and the current was bad.

Went to a local quarry. Surface conditions much calmer than the day before. I thought vis was good, but other divers that dove after Me complained it was not so good. Water was 46 at 8ft. They don't allow spearguns in the quarry.
I think that Vis got stirred up pretty good both days because one Diver was using hunks of 3/8 galvanized chain as ankle weights. I think He thought He was a scientist.
