Fluke was the hope, but we have not been having much luck of late. So we decided to try some place that might have Tog and Fluke..........so the Dykes it would be. Surface a little bumpy on the way out but got better as the day went on. Not bad on the bottom, maybe mid 50's* and about 15 foot viz. We would limit out on Tog, but no Fluke. The big Tog would top out at 10 lbs and all the rest would not even need measuring. Good day!
Saturday 9/21 Maurice Tracey
With Fluke closing in a couple days we would again try to find something that might be holding some Fluke. We haven't ventured south for awhile so we would head down to the Tracey for our first visit of the year. Bumpy again for the ride out but not too bad. It would get better as the day went on. Surface viz was pretty darn good......but as Cappy would say.........."YOU DON"T DIVE ON THE SURFACE"
Viz was not great........first report was 3ft............I will not divulge the name of that .....person. But the viz reports would range from 5'-8' all the way up to 15'. I thought a solid 10' with a cloudy 15'. Funny this "cloudy" description is starting to show up more and more often in reports. Pretty solid surge on the bottom but settled down as the day went on. Not the most productive day, I think 3 bugs and nothing to write home about. Maybe 56*-58* on the bottom, I would expect it to be a little warmer this time of year. All in all good to be diving. Fluke ends Tuesday and Sea Bass opens Friday.
As Capt Bill has already said we are go for all 3 days this weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is room Friday and Sunday, I think we're full for Saturday but you can sign up as back up. If you wanna start to load the fridge for the cold days of winter give the shop a call @ 610-631-2288
AS ALWAYS:
