Thursday 8/15
Capt Bill and I would be treated to some fine welding artistry by a very good friend of NESS and the TUNASEAZURE. We had some welding needs but they got to the point where waiting was not an option. Today's diving was postponed until Friday to accommodate some much needed TLC for the old girl. Most of our needed repairs were taken care of today and back to diving we would go!
Friday 8/16 Reef fishing
Today we would be joined by some newer folks as well as some brand new folks. Fishing and exploring would be the theme. A quick run out to the reef was in order as Fluke have been showing up more and more with the water temperature rising. Good viz 25+ ft and close to 60* on the bottom, Everyone would head home with fish if they wanted it and a good day way has by all.
Todays haul:

Saturday 8/17 Charter (Dive Rescue Team # 47)
Today we would joined again by our friends at Dive Rescue # 47. The team consisted of experienced team members as well as some new divers. We would head out to the Mohawk for some exploring and fishing. What a great day! Water temperature a little cold at the bottom 10 feet maybe lower 50's but just 10 feet up water was much warmer at nearly 60*, viz was as good as I have seen on the Mohawk........opinions ranged from 20ft to some who said 35+ ft. Anyway you look at it......it was great viz. a load of fish and a great artifact would round out the day. Everybody got some fish to go home with.

Sunday 8/18 Reef Fishing
Todays forecast had everyone wondering if we would even run......it went back and forth and we decided to give it a go. A little bumpy today (using the #1 bumpy, #2 snotty, #3 crappy, #4 shitty, and #5 OH SHIT! scale) Anyway, it was blowing and the surface conditions were not too bad. I did however add an extra piece of poly to the line today...just in case (glad I did as we shifted 180* by the end of our diving) Not one of our most productive days......but one of our regular hunters.....was able to get a another very nice Tog.........it was bantered about that he may have gotten a double and the big one was on the other side........LOL......no names though!
Todays catch (as it did not qualify as a haul):

Tuesday 8/20 New group....fishing the theme
I hope I am able to do todays report justice.....as it was the most productive Fluke day we have had on the TUNASEAZURE while I was on board. Thanks to King Fluker.....formerly known as King Konger! Our new group arrived and said Blackfish would be nice. So we decided to again head out to the reef to a spot we have had much luck with Tog.......turns out it was better for fluke.....we did however limit out on Tog for the day as well. Bottom temperature close to 60* and viz somewhere in the 30 foot range were the conditions. Tog and Fluke were pretty much everywhere......Every one would go home with a big bag of edibles today. King Fluker's catch was so big that Capt Bill had to lend him the boat cooler! Todays cooler was so full it was difficult to pass up to the dock...............2 hours of cleaning fish would only have half of the fish cleaned!.
I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
A very full cooler:

Currently we have 2 divers interested in getting out Thursday (tomorrow) but we need a couple more divers to make it a go. Friday is wide open. We are full for Saturday and we have One diver for Sunday and need at least 3 more to make that day work as well.
Conditions have been outstanding and should remain that way with no serious weather issues forecasted.
If you want to get out and take advantage of the outstanding conditions give the shop a call @ 610-631-2288
