Just wanted to let you know that Capt Dan has decided to mix it up a little and try something different that does not get hit. Here is your chance to try something new.
On Saturday, August 17th,we are planning on going out to the Sam Berman (120 fsw). This is a 160 ft long tanker that is part of the artificial reef and is located out near the Stolt. It doesn't get dove, so the prospects for bugs, fish, and even scallops are good. It went down in tact so we will see what the storm did to her. As a tease, the visibility Sunday on the Stolt was 50 ft on the bottom.
We had a great day Monday on the U-869. The seas were totally flat, visibility was good and we even had turtles and dolphins checking us out on the surface. This is prime time for diving, so come on out and join us
Here is what is coming up the following weekend.
Saturday August 24th- Arundo (130 fsw) Scuba Connection .
The Arundo was a freighter that was sunk in 1942 by a U-Boat. She was carrying materials headed for North Africa. You can see the remains of the trucks and find beer bottles that were part of the cargo. Call the Scuba Connection, 908 359 1250 to reserve your place on this trip.
Sunday August 25th - Oil Wreck ( 180 fsw) Open Boat
The Oil Wreck or Ayuruoca, was a Brazilian freighter that was sunk in 1945 in a collision. The main deck is around 140 - 150 fsw. You will see the remains of military vehicles on the deck. It is in the Mud Hole, so it is a little more challenging dive. Call Capt Dan, 732 232 7878 to reserve your spot for this one.
Looking ahead, you do not want to get left out. We have some trips coming up to some more of the wrecks that are not visited often like the Goulandris, Durley Chine, and the 56 mile wreck. Some of these already have waiting lists, so you do not want to wait too long to reserve your place. You can check out the schedule on the website (www.deepexpeditions.com) for dates and contact information.
If you know any one who wants to be added to the mailing list, please respond to this message with the e-mail address and we will take care of it.
The boat is located at Hoffman's West Marina, 608 Green Ave, Brielle, NJ, 08730. We are midway down the slips closest to the railroad bridge.
Looking forward to seeing you out on the boat. Safe Diving!
