Lots of yummies came up, but the funniest was a lobster with his claw clutching a beer in the cooler. (where is the cell phone when you need it to snap a shot.) An lushy lobster is not a patient photo subject. Damn, that one could have gone viral!!
My fishing expertise consists of grabbing mussels off the wreck. I have had luck with bugs and my infamous knife wielding kills : blue fish and a sea bass .Yes I have witnesses, a 19in blue fish ( new diver didnt know they had teeth)
Apparently this is an acquired skill because the diver (an experienced hunter) who grabbed the alcoholic lobster could only find a few bivalvs, while I sent up a lift bag stuffed..
Met lots of new friends with lots of good things to share (yes RIch, I promise to leave the rings home next time). The 5 carat one gets caught in my gloves anyway.
With my work schedule, I generally go diving alone as its hard to drum up company on 3 minutes notice., but I am always glad I do.
Thanks Capt Tony, another great day on the water.
PS. Bottom temp 60, top 71,,,vis ok to great (depending how many wild men kicked up the bottom. (women never kick up the bottom)
