We had some of our regular lobsta hunters aboard, so it was decided to give the Mohawk a peek.
A lot of surface particulates lent to a dark dive at maybe 10 ft temp was 54* on the bottom and 74* at the surface.
A couple Fluke and bugs would be had here today and a lot of short bugs were spotted. Dive 2 got a little brighter with the big yellow thing in the sky getting higher up. Overall not a bad day to get wet and back early....nice!
Saturday 8/4 An old barge we like to visit from time to time
It would not disappoint today! We would have 2 of our more accomplished hunters aboard and with all the carousing from the other divers they had their competitive juices flowing. Konger's tally 5 keeper bugs and many Fluke and Pawelly 4 keeper bugs and another load of fluke! In addition to these "killers" some other Fluke, bugs and even a trigger would be the haul today. Vis was similar to Thursday at maybe 10 ft and dark, bottom temp was a little better at maybe 56* and still very warm on the hang.
Now this is how you do the hunting thing!:
