Thursday 7/5
First stop was out to the Sailor. Reports back from dive one were not very good for hunting although there was some fish and lobsters brought up. When I dropped in to pull I found outstanding viz at around 25 ft+ as with both the Sailors they are very low lying with very deep holes. Reports were that she seemed very sanded in. Capt Bill would decide to look for greener pastures and off to one of our new favs on the Sea Girt Reef. At 65 ft we had 54*, 20+ viz and very good luck with hunting today. The biggest Sea Bass I ever saw ( that was also mentioned by others as well ) it weighed in at over 7 lbs, almost 8 lbs. Some fluke ( a couple in the 27 inch range ) and some Lobsta's would be today's haul. Still was able to get back very early considering the move and everyone had really great bottom times.
Today's spoils:

Friday 7/6
Capt Bill would try to get us to a new number for us (book numbers) but as it turned out we had the numbers but under a different name.
Again rumblings to move, but when I came aboard with a very nice 27 inch Fluke and directions to nirvana it was decided to give it another shot. Not the best day numbers wise, but what we did get were nice sized critters. Sea Bass, Fluke and bugs for most. A little current today but nothing too bad, viz was stirred up by the current/swell at maybe 10-15 ft and still the 54* temp. Back at the dock at around 1130am and everyone seemed to have had a good day.
Saturday 7/7
We would try for another wreck we had not yet visited. An old barge, low lying and spread out pretty good as well. There were even some habitat balls around her stern. Very good viz 25-30 ft, temp around 56*. Not a lot of fish and bugs but the ones got were of good size. A very nice "Popeye Anchor" spotted, one of the biggest I have seen.

Sunday 7/8
With a load of "Big Game Hunters" aboard, it was decided to again stop back out to the Sea Girt Reef to wreck some havoc on the fish populations.
Great viz 25 ft+ and 54* again would greet us. After dive one most divers returned with reports that they juked when they should have jived. Not many fish spotted or caught. After dropping in myself and getting my barrings I was able to orient myself to the wreck and came back with 3 nice Fluke. I gave better directions to the rest of the divers and a really great haul would ensue. Pawelly (our resident "killer") would ransack 5 Fluke to 24 inches. A diver aboard got his very first Fluke and that would be a goody as well at 24 inches. A bug or two and a couple nice Sea Bass would round out the haul today. A fitting end to a great week of diving.
Now that's Flukin" baby:
