It was Harley's turn to pick the wrecks and he wanted to do a bigger one first but the Choppara, San Saba and Great Issiac were taken so we hit a snag before we spent the whole morning driving around. It was kind of a desperate move as we had just hit this spot 2 weeks ago. Well it was loaded up again even thought we thought we had cleaned it up a bit last time. We scored many fine bugs and sea bass.
Well the Issiac was still occupied so we hit a small rock pile in about 80 ft and it had a lot of bugs but when we saw the fluke we targeted them . Several nice fluke came us as well as a few more lobster.
Last stop was another snag in about 65 ft and is a spot we generally hit for fluke. It did not disappoint , the bottom was covered by large fluke. When John was the first to surface and gave the thumbs up I noticed he was towing some huge fluke. Jack quickly followed with more fluke followed by Harley with another stringer full of fluke. I figured that they have had to have cleaned off the wreck but when I went in I saw they had left me plenty. About 25 minutes later I came up with a full stinger of sea bass and fluke and lobster.
WE ended the day with everyone having a full limit of fluke up to 10 lbs (several big fluke ). 3 of us got our lobster limit up to 4 lbs and 1 just missed the limit but was more interested in fish this time. Most of us were culling the lobster on the bottom after the first dive. Hopefully it stays like this for a while.
