We had a special request to visit an area we had been out to recently and were not quite sure what it was.
Turns out it was something we already knew about. Terrible surface viz would open up very nicely to almost 20' on the bottom. Bottom temp around 55*
A load of very nice bugs to almost 3-4 lbs and a couple fish would be the haul today. Old and new friends would join us today.
5/26 Hunting would be the theme today!
Capt thought it best to head south to stay away from the traffic, we would end up on a good one today!
fish, Fish and more FISH and lobstas too........could barely close the cooler and it took 3 guys to pass up the cooler today.
With the killfest came the doggies and they were out in numbers....even whacking them in the head with a speargun couldn't deter them.
We had old Pawel up on the dock cleaning fish for hours..........more to come with our "natural born killer"
Sesame street might have a cookie monster, but the TUNA has Donut monsters
Here's one in action:

How did all that get in that cooler:

As I mentioned, our natural born killer and the main reason the cooler was over flowing:

5/27 The reef with some new friends from Dudas
Same crappy surface viz would open again nicely on the bottom, but today we would have a solid swell and the resulting surge on the bottom.
One of our regulars would get his first bug and congrats are in order............today would also have reports of a Lobzilla.......a behemoth of such proportions as to frighten young children......calls for Mathra to quell the beasty were heard.......requests for boat hooks....etc. I know, I know that's what I thought too. Low and behold the beasty would not be in the same location for my dive. Has anyone ever experienced hallucinations as a result of sea sickness...........Ahhh the elusive Kracken has begun to lurk our local seas again. Be sure to keep your children and toes out of the local waterways until this beast is found.
5/28 Killing, I mean hunting would again be the theme for the day................(the killer is back)
We would be joined again by some new friends, Old friends and some friends we haven't seen since last year.
Another run south would be our goal............first choice taken.....second choice taken.....so, we would wind up on a low lying wooden wreck, though small was loaded with Bass........Capt would decide to check another out to again find someone on that as well. We go to what was believed to be a "new" wreck and the excitement started. Dropping down a familiar silhouette would round into focus, I just couldn't place it or name it. But boy O boy was there alot of fish.....ALOT!
The cooler would not close this day........Seabass a plenty, one very nice fluke and our first for the year and more lobstas!
One very very full cooler!:
