I share your frustration but I don't want tog closed for a year or more. I think what we really need is better science. If you remember with fluke the NMFS told us they were overfished until the sport fishermen got together and paid an for an independent survey of the stocks. It turned out the fluke season was extended due to more fish than njfs thought existed. We need to support more organizations like Save the Summer Fluke fishery. The NMFS seems to be more interested in protecting the rights of big money charities that the rights of the people!!! Thanks to Jack Fullmer and others like him who at least got us some tog this year.
