Captain Jim Wilson
We left the dock with 9 divers on board when we approached the inlet, it was clear that what I saw from land was indeed calm flat seas and a perfect morning with the sun posing nicely over the eastern sky.
8 minutes later we were sitting over the Delaware and Bart was off to tie us in. We dropped the shot line just in front of the boilers and 3 minutes later the pool was open.
We had a couple of lobsters in in the cooler with a nice 3 ponder Greg caught. Nick had a nice a keeper as well. Sean had found a spot with a lot of broken bottle tops. On his second dive he smartly went back to the same spot and came up with a very nice intact bottle.
None of us could beleive that this was the end of Janurary. The bottom temps is running about 45 degrees and the vis was reported to be between 10 and 25 feet depending on who you asked.
When we headed back to the dock and as the afternoon thermals started kicking in which was not really bad as it was the only breeze we had all day.
All in all a great day to be diving.
We will try to run next weekend, Check our WEB site for details.
