Forecast was for 2-4 ft in shore, but the concensus aboard the boat was more like 4-7 ft on our way out to the Mohawk. Surface viz was very tempting when we pulled up and I was not dissappointed when I dropped in. Halfway down I start to see the wreck come into focus and WOW........my first impression was 40 ft, but for the benefit of the others aboard I will say 30 - 40 ft. Probably best viz I have seen on the Mohawk. Water temp very pleasant mid to upper 50's. Not as many fish as I had expected but some, nothing very big. all told 12 bugs went home with divers and many reports of eggers.
The doggies were about in pretty good numbers which is probably why the fish were scarce on the wreck. Some nice artifacts were recovered and some nice ones left for another day. All in all a great day diving. The TUNASEAZURE is trying to run Friday, Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend. Give the shop a call @ 610-631-2288 and remember first one to sign up gets to call the location. With no big time weather forecasted this week the viz should hold up nicely.
"I don't always dive but when I do, I dive on the TUNASEAZURE. Stay thirsty my friends!"
As always: DIVE SAFE/ DIVE OFTEN
