A lot of her advice has reason. But for her situation. She doesn't often seem to take into account other people's purposes, and is instead concerned with her idea of what the most authentic is. Which is frustrating when she won't give an inch and is excessively rude and her advice doesn't even really apply to you, but you feel like you're being degraded anyway by her comments of how your work 'should' and 'shouldn't' be. There's not much of a should and shouldn't in CATS costuming, it's more of a large experiment, and you're welcome to try new things (as she does XP), and it's all just working to get the best look for your purpose (performing, cosplaying, whichever).
