I am taking this advice with a grain of salt, as I find that VTWC is sometimes way off the mark with her advice, which she will maintain even when proven wrong (don't we all remember the drama about the yarn earlier this year?). Everyone here seems pretty no-nonsense, and I wondered if you all had anything to say on the subject. I am more inclined to believe Ms. Magis, Shadow, and even Drumdraper's advice concerning the wigs, and at least give it a try-- rather than just trust VTWC and jack my budget to the sky trying to use synthetic Tina Turner wigs (which seem like they'd look plasticky and spiky?), or wasting a lot of time trying to do crepe wool for all of them. I'm sure you all frequent the CCDB, and if you happened to see my post about using RCH wigs in performance, you would have seen the massive, fairly nay-saying post that VTWC left in response to it.
She also poo-pooed acrylic yarn wigs for performance.
