Posted by Munku on 11/29/2005, 11:10 pm Apart from that, everything held up well, including the new claws and collar. The makeup (Ben Nye creme foundation) which didn’t flake too badly even while having sweat drip down my forehead. I tried using the colourless powder to set it, but honestly I don’t see much improvement over setting with plain white baby-powder. However, looking at the pictures, I’ve finally concluded that I should probably stop trying to make the white-grey boundaries so strongly defined (especially around the eyes) and switch to a softer, blended approach. It just looks better in low-light.

I’m still waiting to get pictures from the main Conifur photographer, so in the meantime here’s a few taken at various raves and clubs during Halloween. Lots of praise and some friendly pats for Jen’s handiwork as usual, and of course I had a blast acting up the part. Using cat mannerisms is a great way for me to add variety on the floor since I only know a few basic hip-hop moves. Most can’t really dance at these things, so I fit right in ;-). Lost my wig for a bit doing a diving somersault though (which is why the ears look messed up in some of the shots) No, it doesn’t grip well enough by itself to stay on during a handspring. I see why real dancers use spirit gum now. That may be obvious, but the stuff just seems messy to use though, and I don’t like seeing part of the wig cap around the edge of the face. Ah, well.
